Volunteer Opportunites

The Academy for Medical Arts requires students to earn 60 hours of volunteer hours during the course of their 4 years at JW Mitchell. Volunteering is a way for students to gain additional insight in the area of health care while promoting compassion and character building. The students volunteer hours need to be in the area of Health care. Forms will be given to the students on which they can record their hours of service or can be downloaded here.

  • The New Port Richey Alzheimer Family Organization
  • Community Hospital in NPR
  • The Good Samaritan Health Clinic
  • The Harbors
  • Life Skills of Pasco
  • Consulate Care of NPR
  • Paint your heart out of Pasco
  • The United Way
  • The Salvation Army
  • The Red Cross
  • New Port Richey Surgery Centers
  • Gulfcoast Jewish Family Services
  • Youth and Family Alternatives
  • CARES program
  • Trinity Outpatient Center
  • All Children’s Specialty Care Center
  • The American Heart Association
  • Any area nursing home or rehabilitation center may offer volunteer opportunities
  • You may also check at local MD / chiropractor /dental offices for opportunities
